Iraq’s Minister of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities, Benkin Rikani, has approved the master plan for the Ali Al-Wardi Residential City Project in Baghdad.
The announcement was made in the presence of senior officials and representatives from Egypt’s ORA Developers.
Located in Nahrawan, southeast of Baghdad, the project will be the largest new residential development under the government’s programme.
Designed as a sustainable and eco-friendly city, it will feature green spaces and clean energy solutions. The city will include approximately 120,000 housing units and an integrated road network, incorporating a ring road and Baghdad’s first tramway system.

وافق وزير الإعمار والإسكان والبلديات العراقي بنكين ريكاني على الخطة الرئيسية لمشروع مدينة علي الوردي السكنية في بغداد.
تم الإعلان عن ذلك بحضور كبار المسؤولين وممثلين عن شركة أورا ديفلوبرز المصرية.
يقع المشروع في منطقة النهروان جنوب شرق بغداد، وسيكون أكبر مشروع سكني جديد في إطار برنامج الحكومة.
تم تصميمه كمدينة مستدامة وصديقة للبيئة، وسيضم مساحات خضراء وحلول الطاقة النظيفة. ستضم المدينة ما يقرب من 120 ألف وحدة سكنية وشبكة طرق متكاملة، بما في ذلك طريق دائري ونظام الترام الأول في بغداد.
