The Iraqi Cabinet has approved the authorization of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who also serves as Chairman of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, to negotiate and sign a cooperation agreement with China on the peaceful applications of nuclear energy.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been tasked with preparing the necessary authorization document, which will be submitted to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers for final approval and Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani’s signature.
