Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) Governor Ali Mohsen Al-Allaq has underlined the pivotal role of the banking sector in supporting investment in Iraq.
Al-Allaq noted that Iraq offers significant investment opportunities, with both government and private institutions advancing towards a comprehensive investment roadmap capable of generating financial returns. He described the banking sector as a cornerstone of successful investment projects, committed to continuing its reform strategy to enhance its role as a facilitator of economic growth.

He further stated that Iraq is currently experiencing its lowest inflation rates in modern history and maintains comfortable foreign reserves to defend the exchange rate. He stressed that these achievements, alongside successful monetary policy, have created a stable environment for investment.

وأشار العلاق إلى أن العراق يقدم فرصاً استثمارية كبيرة، حيث تتقدم المؤسسات الحكومية والخاصة نحو خارطة طريق استثمارية شاملة قادرة على تحقيق عوائد مالية. ووصف القطاع المصرفي بأنه حجر الزاوية للمشاريع الاستثمارية الناجحة، ملتزماً بمواصلة استراتيجية الإصلاح لتعزيز دوره كميسر للنمو الاقتصادي.

وأضاف أن العراق يشهد حالياً أدنى معدلات التضخم في تاريخه الحديث ويحتفظ باحتياطيات مريحة من العملات الأجنبية للدفاع عن سعر الصرف. وشدد على أن هذه الإنجازات، إلى جانب السياسة النقدية الناجحة، خلقت بيئة مستقرة للاستثمار.
