
According to the Iraq Securities Commission (ISC), the market capitalisation of shares listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange rose 22.2% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2026, reaching approximately IQD 26.9 trillion ($20.5 billion).
The ISC’s first quarterly report for 2026 also recorded trading value of approximately IQD 59.8 billion ($45.6 million), with more than 46,000 trades executed during the quarter. The report covers the performance of listed sectors and companies, the trading activity of non-Iraqi investors, and the activities of the commission’s various departments.
The commission noted its continued focus on developing Iraq’s capital market and strengthening its role in supporting the national economy, including measures to promote financial transparency and disclosure, advance digital transformation, and align regulatory frameworks with international best practice.
