Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani has instructed the Federal Commission of Integrity to expedite its investigation into irregularities in the awarding of a pipeline project related to light petroleum product disposal outside Karbala Refinery.
According to the Prime Minister’s office, the project was assigned to a non-specialised intermediary company, leading to delays, inflated costs, and financial deficiencies.
He called for legal action against those involved and directed a review of the contract to address the issues. Authorities have been tasked with accelerating project execution to ensure the refinery’s economic viability and the production of fuel meeting local consumption standards.

وجه رئيس الوزراء محمد صالح السوداني هيئة النزاهة الاتحادية بالإسراع في التحقيق في المخالفات التي شابت ترسية مشروع خط أنابيب لنقل المنتجات النفطية الخفيفة خارج مصفى كربلاء.
ووفقا لمكتب رئيس الوزراء، فقد تم إسناد المشروع لشركة وسيطة غير متخصصة، مما أدى إلى تأخير وتضخم التكاليف والعجز المالي.
ودعا إلى اتخاذ إجراءات قانونية ضد المتورطين ووجه بمراجعة العقد لمعالجة القضايا. وقد كُلّفت السلطات بتسريع تنفيذ المشروع لضمان الجدوى الاقتصادية للمصفاة وإنتاج وقود يلبي معايير الاستهلاك المحلي.
