
According to the company’s director-general, Mortada Karim Al-Shahmani, approximately 2,000 transit operations have been completed across Iraqi territory during the first year. Six new transport routes have been used by international operators, including:
Hungary to Jordan in six days
Poland to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) overland in ten days
Turkey to Jordan in five days
Turkey to Kuwait in four days
Al-Shahmani stated that the system has reinforced Iraq’s position as an international transit corridor and that growing interest from international operators reflects confidence in the country’s capacity to manage transit operations efficiently.
