
Tareeq Al Majal has signed a distribution agreement with China’s Geely Auto, marking the brand’s official return to Baghdad.
The agreement was signed by Ali Jaffar, CEO of Tareeq Al Majal, and Tian Jinjun, General Manager of Geely International Middle East.
Under the partnership, Tareeq Al Majal will introduce a new Geely line-up and invest over $10 million in sales and aftersales infrastructure in Iraq over the next two years.
Baghdad-based Tareeq Al Majal is a joint venture between Iraqi conglomerate Al Majal Group and Al-Markazia, an automotive group headquartered in Jordan.
