Germany Reaffirms Support for Iraq’s Stability and Democracy in Message to President Amedi
President Nizar Amedi received Daniel Krieber, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Iraq, at Al-Salam Palace, where he delivered a congratulatory message from Frank-Walter Steinmeier on the occasion of President Amedi’s election.
In his message, President Steinmeier reaffirmed Germany’s support for Iraq as a close and trusted partner, stressing that Berlin would continue backing Iraq in its efforts to strengthen stability, unity, and democracy.
The meeting also reviewed bilateral relations and ways to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest between the two countries.
President Amedi, in turn, praised Germany’s supportive stance toward Iraq, reaffirming Iraq’s commitment to building strong relations based on mutual respect and joint coordination in ways that serve the interests of both friendly peoples.
