The Iraqi Ministry of Industry and Minerals, chaired by Minister Prof. Eng. Khaled Battal Al-Najm, has approved the awarding of key industrial city projects during the second session of the Industrial Cities Authority’s Board of Directors.
“Minister Al-Najm welcomed private sector participation in these projects, highlighting their role in job creation and supporting Iraq’s industrial growth.”

Pharmaceutical Industrial City
Location: Babylon
Area: 708 dunams
Iraq’s first pharmaceutical industrial city
Babylon Gateway Industrial City
Location: Babylon
Area: 2,000 dunams
Focus: Food, light, and medium industries
Akkad Industrial City
Location: Rashidiya, Baghdad
Area: 125 dunams
Iraq’s first privately owned industrial city
Target: Emerging industries
The decisions followed detailed presentations and discussions on project costs, land allocations, targeted industries, financing, and utility provisions.

وافقت وزارة الصناعة والمعادن العراقية برئاسة الوزير أ.د. م. خالد بطل النجم على منح مشاريع المدن الصناعية الرئيسية خلال الجلسة الثانية لمجلس إدارة هيئة المدن الصناعية.

المدينة الصناعية أكد
الموقع: الرشيدية، بغداد
المساحة: 125 دونم
أول مدينة صناعية مملوكة للقطاع الخاص في العراق
الهدف: الصناعات الناشئة
وجاءت القرارات بعد عروض تقديمية ومناقشات مفصلة حول تكاليف المشاريع وتخصيصات الأراضي والصناعات المستهدفة والتمويل وتوفير الخدمات.
